Whenever i try to install the new driver of GT555m Version 306.23, it says
"This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware."

I also did autoscan on Geforce.com
It shows New Version 306.23 available. but i'm unable to install it.

Tell me what should i do now.

maybe update to bios a8 if you haven't. there was problems with graphics detection like yours with earlier bioses. although it could be smth. else. the drivers though are compatible even for 200, 300 and 400 series cards or even earlier. it's just detection that is the problem sometimes

    Check if it's 32bit or 64bit.

Well, mine I install without any problem at all, are you sure download the driver from here?: NVIDIA DRIVERS 306.23WHQL

You can also try using a custom .inf, here is the link for the file (You'll have to right click then save as a txt file): http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/infs/305series/30623_win8x64/nvwi.inf

Check to see if it's desktop or laptop as well, I had an issue similar to this, don't remember what the error said, but it was close. Ended up I got the desktop version.

If you already have the correct driver, what you need to do is flash your bios with the latest one, which is BIOS A08.

Then, make sure you completely remove the current nVidia driver.

The problem was with the driver setup that i downloaded from Geforce.com, then i downloaded from nvidia.com and it worked for me.

Just as a recap, the websites are actually the same, if you check your filenames, you'll see the first one was the Desktop version, and the 2nd one was the Mobility version. This is a common issue we see here :p We get all excited for new drivers and forget to check the right versions.
