I have followed the instructions on replacing the hard drive with an SSD and moved the HDD to the optical drive. The drive is recognized but I am receiving errors when writing to it. I ran HD Tune Pro and the problem is the Ultra DMA CRC Error count. From doing some reading, it sounds like this means I damaged the SATA cable. I am a newbie to this stuff and learning as I go. Few questions. Is there a better program to use for troubleshooting the HDD? Is there any way to confirm that the issue is the cable? If so, is there anything specific I need to look for when buying a replacement? Appreciate any help I can get.

Thanks. I thought if that was an issue, it wouldn't recognize the drive. Didn't realize it would cause the problems I have. Drive is a WD Scorpio Black with no place for a jumper. Any recommendations on a drive I can get that can be adjusted down to 1.5gb/s?
