    Yeah I am. Not a big deal for me though since my right hand is my mouse hand. I wonder if they did that on purpose.

    you have your hard drive under there thats why it gets so hot, get a ssd and it wont be as hot

    I'm just glad it doest heat up when doing basic tasks. bit annoying when typing though.

    Yeah I just took a 4 hour final on this (obviously just typing) and it didn't heat up at all. It stayed cool and the fan stayed off the whole time.

    That reassures me, glad its just the hdd (4 hour exam? ouch). maybe I'll have a look at a ssd in the future, but atm the prices way to high and the reliability doesn't seem to be there either.

    Just installed a intel 320 160gb SSD and my palmrest isn't hot anymore. Pretty sure Intel SSD's are more reliable than most HDD's.
