    Help! Realtek HD Audio Manager not working after Respawn

    Hi guys. I need help!

    My m14x got this stupid search engine redirect virus and I could not get it away. After spending hours, I decided to just respawn my m14x.

    I used alien respawn but after that my Realtek HD audio manager can't be started. I did the respawn twice and it's still not working. There is sound coming out from speaker but it's just the Realtek HD audio manager won't start and I can't adjust bass EQ and stuff anymore.
    Also, on my first try to respawn, there was something wrong with Internet Explorer. It would not load any website and would crash. It's not the internet because other programs can connect to the internet. So I respawn it again and the internet explorer is working fine now.

    I haven't update windows and other drivers yet because I want to make sure everything is working fine before I spend hours updating.

    Anyone know how to fix these? Am I better off doing a clean install using the windows 7 disc? after the clean install, how do I get back all the stuff that comes with the m14x including all drivers, programs, login screen, alienware logo, avatar, etc.?
    is it easier if i do a clean install, and then run alien respawn to get everything back?

    Have you try reinstall the driver? For the Internet Explorer, try use other browser like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, I'd recommend Google Chrome if you want a faster browser (Actually it is the fastest :D ), use Firefox if you want a better theme customization.

    Clean install guide:

    DO THIS FIRST: HOW TO: Clean Windows 7 Install (Driver Install Order) Guide for Alienware Systems

    And then DO THIS SECOND: HOW TO: Restore the Alienware 'Look and Feel' after a clean install of Windows 7

    Sometime I'd recommend you do the system restore first because sometime it might be because of you done something wrong due to new driver or hardware updates, after system restore if it still cause the problem, then go for the Respawn, and if it still cause problem, clean install is the last resort.
