    What used to happen when I left my laptop is it would go into standby for an hour and then boot up to hibernate and turn off.

    Now what's happening is after an hour I go to use it and I'm greeted with some message about my memory configuration being changed and my only option is "delete restoration data and start up"

    anyone else seen this?

    get your ram memory cards out and put them in again and all should be fine

    another option is to disable/remove the hibernation file and reactivate it. helps if that file is broken somehow.

    to do so, open your command promt
    Windows - " CMD" ->
    type " powercfg -h off" to delete the file

    after that type in:
    " powercfg -h on" to recreate it

    good luck mate

    I did do this exactly. I think it failed once after doing that but I just turned my laptop on now and it resumed from a hibernation, first time in a week or so. hopefully I'm out of the woods :D
