My Alienware specs are as follow,
    i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHZ
    6GB Ram
    Geforce 555M 1.5GB.
Updated my NVIDIA Drivers to 280.26.

I also got the Intel Turbo Booster Moniter and it normally shows ard 2.6-2.8GHZ
I tried running Bad Company 2 on medium and I only got around 20-25 FPS.
What can i do to make my performance better ? I am planning on getting Battlefield 3 and also MW3.

I think youre running BFBC2 on the Integrated card, or youre not plugged in.

First, make sure youre plugged in and running your battery mode on High Performance. Then, right click on your desktop and click NVIDIA Control Panel. From there, go to 3D settings, and then go to Program settings. From there look or add BFBC2 and make sure its running on 'High Performance NVIDIA Processor'

Um, those drivers gave me this issue, where I could not run the NVIDIA card on anything, it always ran the Intel one.

You may have this issue too. Use the 285.37 beta drivers, they work fine, and dont' have this issue.

BFBC2 dont support Intel HD Graphic, he might have to OC the GPU to get good performance.

That still wouldnt cause 25fps at medium. I think maybe he was on battery. Without an OC i still get like 70fps on max settings @ 1600x900

Like I said, the 280.26 drivers did this thing to mine where it would never run the NVIDIA card, whether you forced it to or not (either by specifiying it in the NVIDIA control panel, or right clicking and saying use NVIDIA card).

Try a different driver. Either roll back or use the beta ones.

It's definitely the drivers. There were specific notes about it in the driver updates.

70fps is impossible on M14x because the screen is a 60Hz (60Hz = 60 fps max) unless you have the vertical sync off. Maybe he is on battery, but I doubt if it true or not because, only the A01 BIOS allow you to play on battery without performance compromise.

Then try the 275.33 <- this one I find it the best one because I never had any problem it with at all.

I changed my battery to high performance it was on balanced before that, i also changed my nvidia graphics driver back to 275.33, and tried using msi afterburner. Then i got no problems running the game on max settings.

I didn't know this, maybe it's the solution to my problem mentioned in one of my few threads. I've been running 280.26 for weeks now.

    I'll try 285.37 tonight.

I guess it will get hotter though...

It won't get too hot. Just monitor your temps and as long as temps don't exceed 85C or so, you'll be fine.

The only thing that will get hotter really is your GPU (since you weren't running it before)

I meant with Vsync off. While it may not exceed 60fps in reality, I mean by the number fraps shows/in game fps counter shows. (which is what the system is capable of)

Because of M14'x monitor is a 60Hz version, so yes If with Vsync on, you wont be able to see it past 60fps. However if you have it off, be prepare to see the screen tearing as well.
