    Hello everyone!

Everytime I play a game (...MetroLL, LoL, BF3, GW2 as examples...) I stay around 60-70FPS, but then every 3min or so I go down to 5-15fps. My drops are frequent and very intense.
So I went on forums and tried to find a solution.

Updated my BIOS from A09 to A12 for M14XR2.
    Updated drivers to 320.49

    Intel Core i7 3630QM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M that is used as priority (integrated is not used)

and used HWMonitor to check my temps. I wonder if I overheat or something. My Laptop is 6months old.
    Here are the readings:

    Hardware monitor ACPI
    Temperature 0 28°C (82°F) [0xBC2] (TZ00)
    Temperature 1 30°C (85°F) [0xBD6] (TZ01)

    Hardware monitor Battery
    Voltage 0 16.42 Volts [0x4028] (Current Voltage)
    Capacity 0 64530 mWh [0xFC12] (Designed Capacity)
Capacity 1 53180 mWh [0xCFBC] (Full Charge Capacity)
    Capacity 2 53180 mWh [0xCFBC] (Current Capacity)
    Level 0 18 pc [0x52] (Wear Level)
    Level 1 100 pc [0x64] (Charge Level)

    Hardware monitor NVIDIA NVAPI
    Voltage 0 0.81 Volts [0x32C] (VIN0)
    Temperature 0 57°C (134°F) [0x39] (TMPIN0)

    HALP!

why am I getting so many FPS drops?

First of all use the drivers from alienware itself even though they are outdated, second make sure the power plan is set to high performance.

This fixed all my frame drop problems, runs like a charm :)

You might also want to note that you have a pretty weak GPU.

Mind explaining how weak you think it is? I mean compared to what?

I Did a complete driver cleaning. I even went back to the previous 307 driver. So far so good for Guild Wars 2. I will test further this weekend.
Also the temps for CPU are averaging 85Celcius. Max 91C.

Bf3 runs fine in the GT650M, I get about 40-70 fps on medium/high so that's not an issue here. For a mainstream mobile GPU is actualy pretty powerfull. And your one of the first people on the internet that actually calls the GT650M weak, which it isn't, a bit weird to say that.

Just to eliminate the obvious, the laptop is plugged in right?

Also, check to make sure the GPU doesn't hit 65C because if will throttle at that temperature.

With Guild Wars 2, you can set a frame rate limiter to limit the heat and power consumption, that may improve any issues you've had further, I use this with my desktop ( which reaches high CPU temp like yours also) and it brings the load temp down to about 80, As for your GPU, people on this forum always say that unless its the latest its weak, I have the Mobility Radeon 5870, which is "worse" than yours in scoring, I can play on high with around 25 fps, but do get those random fps drops too, I believe with gw2 the environment does effect this, I see huge drops in lions arch, but out in the field its a lot better, generally, its best to put the game settings to low ( with screen at Super sample or Native) and set the Nvidia Control Panel settings to higher, that way everything looks passable, but your fps isn't as beaten down.

Just out of interest are you playing all these games on high settings? LoL shouldn't cause many issues on that setup which is concerning.

That seems a little high, it may be throttling. You may want to repaste the CPU :)
