I just popped in the Kingston HyperX 1600Mhz RAM and in CPU-Z it reports 664.5Mhz. Is this correct? I felt that it was a little low so I went into BIOS and turned on RAM overclocking and I set the RAM speed to 1600 and it still says the same speed.

Sorry if I'm coming off noob-ish, I haven't played with RAM very much before and I couldn't find a lot of information about this online.

    Thanks

    Update

I selected XMP Profile 2 and set the speed back to Auto

    Now I'm reading 797.6Mhz in CPU-Z

    So I'm happy :D
