I dont get it.. I followed all the instructions on the guide by Titan perfectly, so perfectly that I thought I was getting near the godly status like him lol. Anyways despite such perfection, and despite Windows 7 being able to detect 298GB of unused unallocated space, no matter how many times I try to create a simple volume from it, IT WONT FORMAT.

Seagate Momentus 320GB (not XT) 7200 is the culprit at the moment.
My primary is an Intel X25M 80GB.

Just by my wording you've seen that I've used disk management, ive tried the my computer way, I'm contemplating using partition magic, but I dont know what I could've forgotten that might be causing this as I've done this millions of times before... The only thing is though, the bios in my m14x only just disk drive 1 (either that or I cant find where it lists each of my drives).

Some help from anyone whos experienced such?

Nevermind folks I got tired of trying so I went and changed for a WD 320GB and it works off the bat one shot. Never going with seagate HDs again.
