Hey guys. I had my subwoofer replaced recently, and I've noticed that it is loose. It vibrates and buzzes really loud when over 70% volume. And if I take off the bottom cover, I can literally move it around by touching it (not touching the actual driver, but the plastic around it). The whole bar moves around freely. Is this normal? Is it supposed to be secured to the chassis? If not, I will open it up and secure it. If you guys can do me this favor, take off the bottom panel and see if the subwoofer moves around in that small space? Thanks!

Thought so. Thanks a ton for confirming it. Time to disassemble the entire thing.

    Hi,

Here's an article that explains how to dissemble the sub woofer, in case you need a reference guide. Good luck :)

Thanks for the help guys, very nice of you. Especially that photo :) I disassembled it, and the rubber mounts are missing. Called the tech guy, he still has the old sub and will drop off the mounts in a few hours. All is good again. Thank you!

Hi, yes, on support.alienware.com type M14x r2 troubleshooting articles on the search box on the upper right hand corner, click on the result and you will see all the articles by issue or component.
