Just the above question?
i have only overclocked my card twice and that was for crysis. the performance overclocked on crysis is pretty good.
just got me thinking is it actually safe to do?i was on crysis for around 40mins, max temp on cpuid was 58c.
is it worth keeping overclocking to a minimal or does everyone keep their gpu overclocked all the time?

It doesn't have to be overclocked all the time, I only really use it when necessary, i.e for bfbc2, crysis 1 and 2, etc. It wont really hurt your computer, just keep on eye on the temps, they can heat up really quick by overclocking, keep it under 80c is my advice.

You wont damage your computer, if you're still worried, stay at a low overclock, lets say 700 mhz core, 1400 shader, and 1k memory, that's a moderate but safe overclock. I usually go up to 750 on the core, but never seen anyone go over 780, so i dont go close to there. you'll be fine.

I use 765/1080 just fine, no noticable increase in heat

thanks ill stick to 700/1400/1000
its really is just for crysis lol -
I use 701/1402/1026, the temp stay between 60C - 65C (With cooler) and 70C - 75C (without cooler), and I think that is pretty good.
Is overclocking safe to do?
