On the Alienware Canada site, they list three laptops - 13, 17, and 18.

    No sign of the 14.

    Has it been discontinued?

    P.S. - only i5 processor listed. No i7?????

They must be depleting 14 stock as it is being sold in some regions.
i7 option for 13 could come soon.

Alienware 14 has disappeared from the website and it is replaced by the Alienware 13, AW 14 was a much better product than the 13 and the only reason to discontinue it is to push AW 13 down our throats, Alienware 14 with 970m would have been an excellent machine for many.

Does anyone know why this is. I was just about to buy this one because it was in my price range and it was perfect for me. I was absolutely raging when it said 'this product is currently unavailable.

Anyone know when i7 will be available on Alienware 13?

There are plenty to be had on Amazon (new and used, and not to mention Ebay) - just search to find your config. Best part is not waiting months to get one. I am in the same boat, I need a more general laptop in that range and was holding off to see what happened with the introduction the 13; the one hope here is there is no formal announcement yet on the 14, so its quite possible it will be back albeit with support for this new Graphics Accelerator business.

Wouldn't make sense to sell both the 13 and 14, they are too close in size. It would make more sense to launch a 15" model.

I'm thinking of selling my 14 and going with the 13, my 1 year complete care warranty ends tomorrow.

Oooh, I would love to see an AW15 with 900 series graphics. That would be the sweet spot for me.

If they do it with dual cooling to keep the noise down and thin it down some it would be great, I agree. Heck, I would take a 14 thinned down with a dual cooling solution even.

Yes, I was ready to buy a 14 with a 900 series card, but this will no longer be the case. I'm narrowing it down to a possible ALW 15. Clevo P650SE, or the Gigabyte P35Wv3. Aiming for a 970M.

As alienware fans , I'm really disappointed with alienware 13 , from alienware m14x --> alienware 14 --> alienware 13 , the cool RGB led lighting getting reduced too much , its not like alienware anymore , m15x still awesome machine up to date.

Does seem that they have misplaced the single Dell brain cell by the looks of it. I really hope they have something new lined up in the 14 inch form factor because lets be totally honest - why would anyone want a 13" machine with a ULV processor? an 11" yes that would make sense, even 12" but 13" no thanks. They are basically saying at the moment that if you want the processing power you have to buy the Alienware 17 - I for one don't want to be lugging a 17" machine around but need the processing performance for when I go out and about so the 14 makes perfect sense! I'm sure many people agree with me on this point!

At present, Dell has a big gap in the Alienware lineup between the 13 and 17, so we can expect a redesigned AW 14 or a thinner AW 15 after few months, Even i am in the same boat and 17 inch is too big to carry around.

    m11x - m14x - m17x - m18x < best line-up alienware had

I seriously hope the 13 will feature a more powerful cpu and gpu in the future if it really did replace the 14.

I feel certain something is going to come in between the 13 and the 17, the fact that there is no official statement with the release of the 13 that the 14 is offed makes me think they are revising it, possibly to a 15" slim chassis design, it's just too strong a segment with no current representation by Alienware.

The delays in Broadwell combined with the move to accommodate the Graphics Accelerator across all the lines is what is making me almost certain those are the reasons for the delays and lack of news. One or two questionable sources have been saying news will be forthcoming in November... let's hope so.

Regardless of any speculation, the fact that Dell has said nothing about the removal of the 14 from sales is either interesting or disconcerting.

If you can no longer order one, what are they doing with existing stock?

If it will come back with a revision, what will they do with existing stock?

It just seems unlike Dell to be totally silent about such a change.....
