Last week, I updated the driver to the lastest beta version 295.51. After severl hours of the installation, i wanted to re-install the driver to the one that dell released on their offical website.( Lower version) That's when it went wrong, the re-installation was unsuccess and the machine could not detect the gt555m driver ( cant even open the nvidia control panel). I restart the machine and my driver drop back to 267.37. I decided to update my driver again through the nvidia control panel, but when i click "update", an error came up(forgot wat the error was). So, I went on internet and asked another computer geek, they told me to get into the control panel and update my driver by right click the video card option. To my suprise, the driver was successfully updated to the 295.51 and nothin went wrong since then.

BUt... i am still wondering if the physx or other key components was not updated with the driver that I manually updated at the second time.

    Pls help.......

try running a few games that you played before you updated your driver. If you're getting lower fps then something did went wrong or the driver itself has the problem. Then try re installing your old driver to see if that works.

Don't update through the nvidia control panel with machines running optimus, it never works. Just download the latest drivers off the nvidia site and install those. then you should be good to go. ;)
