Is it not working at all? Is the machine see'ing the card? Is there a big yellow ? mark in the device manager? Does it list it in the device manager? If it is showing does it show your wireless router? Can it connect? How far away are your from the router?

I would recommend you to download the latest one from the manufacturer's site. Also look for the rest of the drivers that you are missing. After a Windows Installation you have to do that all the time.

ok so i got wireless working by installing 7 then updating to 8.1, however, im having a new issue.

sometimes my laptop will not connect to the net even though it shows full bars on the router and its connected.

still getting the issue, it says its connected and then it says resolving host and then cannot connect to network.

two different routers, same issue. seems to be ok plugged it but that defeats the purpose
