    Just got my M14x !!

    Thanks for all the great info on this forum, i've been lurking for the last couple of weeks.

    Just received my m14x from Dell Outlet (UK) saved a ton of cash, it didn't come with the proper box and sleeve but the laptop is brand new with warranty.

    Nebula Red
    i-72630
    4 Gig of Ram
    500GB HD
    Killer Wireless
    1600x900 screen
    Bluetooth

    Really happy with it so far, I was worried about the fan noise but browsing the web it's really quiet and kicks out less heat than my old XPS.

    Only thing not quite right is the volume up and down keys seem to work intermittently, the mute key always works.

    In time I'm looking to get 8gig of kingston ram and crucial m4 ssd.

    Just what I got but mine is black. Do a check to make sure EVERYTHING works. Bluetooth, speakers, ALL keys, pixels are all working, and temps on CPU and GPU are not being weird.

    Congrats. I was so happy when i got mine. It is a beast of a laptop, a true workstation at a fraction of the size.

    Congrats on your new machine. Only thing I would have done different is the color but thats totally personal preference. Niko told me in another forum post that the killer wireless in the m14x only has 2 antennas do you think you could open it up and see whether or not it has 2 or three antennas or not?

    I got it for £750 delivered, the day I got it the same spec machine off dell.co.uk was £1280 probably would've preferred black but you can't choose on outlet, the red is growing on me :)

    Will open it up when I put the SSD in in a few wks and see if I can see the antennas.

    So noone else has intermittent volume up and down keys ?

    Nope. See if it's the FN key being weird or the volume keys. I bet it's the volume ones, because you said mute works. Would definitely call Dell about it before the 21 day return thing is up.

    Still waiting for mine to arrive. But thats a superb price! Couldnt find any alienware in the outlet when i looked!
