I think the keyboard squeaks have been covered, but I just wanted to vent about them again :) I have a Latitude that appears to have a similar keyboard, and it also squeaks, so I think it's a Dell issue.

More troubling though is that when I first received this laptop (refurbished), the spacebar was higher on the right side than the left. I chalked this up to a manufacturing defect, and Dell had it replaced right away. Now it's three weeks later and my new keyboard is also doing it! I attribute this to playing FPS games on it where I predominately press down on the left side of the space bar.

    Anyone else notice this?

Mine sqeaks also. Their manufacturing is poor. It must aggrivate their design engineers as much as us.

Better a lopsided spacebar than a lopsided face.

Mines doesn't squeak but my spacebar is quite lop sided. I put this down to my typing style of only pressing space with my left hand and doing a lot of typing/coding.

My Spacebar is lopsided as well. It isn't too bad and I can only notice it when I look at it from an angle. I only use the built in keyboard when I'm not at home otherwise I use a Razer Lycosa. I guess the FX lighting makes it a little worse because you can notice it more.
