That looks to me like a LCD problem. Usually with GPUs you'll get color distortion if they're going out.

The funny part is that when i took the screen shot, and preview it with different angles, there is no white vertical line. But when i took it with the camera, it shows white vertical line.
Now the white line is gone. -

Well that's good news. It's usually a good idea to get that issue lodged with the distributor of the laptop when it happens. That way if it happens again in the future there is a record of it.

exactly. When i called in, dell rep also heard of the noise coming out from diagnosis test, and he straight away told me that it was either LCD fault or possibly motherboard failure. He will be sending both parts and will be getting on Friday.

Awesome, I hope that works. Anyway I would have tried the same and see if the line appeared in the BIOS or something. Let us know how it goes.

When I bend the lcd abit, the line is gone. Then again appear, when I bend it slightly. I think it must be something to do with LCD.

As Porras said, check it in the BIOS, if you see the line there it could be the LCD assembly. To know for certain you can test it on an external monitor. If the line isn't there in the external display, then it's definitely the LCD.

Beeps 3 time in a test, so engineer changed the mobo and LCD. The problem is no more
