    Latest Intel HD Graphics Update - Windows Update

    Has anyone installed the latest Intel Graphics Update via Windows Update? Released 9/12. After the install, Aero refused to turn back on. I've tried EVERYTHING. Disabling/Enabling, Uninstalling/Reinstalling (new and older drivers), even the force registry hack to force Aero to come back on to no avail. And yes, I have checked that Aero is enabled in Personalize Windows.

    Any suggestions on how to get it working before I attempt a Windows Restore?

    i recently rebuilt my machine and i did not have this issue.fahdriyami, do you know what version of the drivers you installed, as MS is typically a few versions behind the drivers available at the manufacturers website.

    If you hang on a few hours, i will post a link to the ones i downloaded that are fine.

    Launch the task manager and try look for any processes related to "Windows System Assessment Tool". It randomly launches on mine and aero is disabled until I end the process.

    i had alot of issues when i updated with my external monitor via vga not performing properly so i reinstalled the stock ones from the dell website and im sticking with it
