Hi i just recieved my M14x on friday with the following settings
    i7 2670
    gt555m 1.5gb
    750 gb HDD 7200 RPM
    6gb ddr3 1600mhz ram

i overclocked to 700/1080 and im still getting poorish results. first of all i cant even play test drive 2 on low. its choppy and i get fps lag. When i go on youtube i see a M11x running the same game on high without any problem? is their something im missing out on? i have the latest Nvidia Drivers. Also for league of legends its not so bad but i get slowish loading speeds. like the same as my friend who has a bad computer . anything i can do to speed that up except of course getting a SSD

SSD won't actually speed up your framerates at all. I bet that you haven't whitelist the LOL.exe file. Just follow the guide in my sig and you should be good to go ;)

I'd try whitelisting that as well and that should fix the problem. Another thing you could try is updating your graphics card drivers.

That's strange. LoL loads and plays fine on Max settings for me. No special tweaking involved.

    Latest Drivers
    i7-2670
    8GB DDR3-1600
    3GB GT55M
    SSD

Only having the 1.5GB GT555 shouldn't hurt you, nor would only having 6GB RAM. Only real difference is I put an SSD in mine.

I load fine but i was maybe expecting it to be faster. its the same as my old computer if not slower. and my other pc had intel duo quad core. 6gb ram and a nvidia 9500 gs nothing special. But im more concerned about test drive :\

Something is definitely wrong, I get a smooth 60FPS (I capped it to that). When you updated your drivers, did you check "Clean Install"? That helps clear out anything that might have broken.

do you have anything running in the backround that would impact HD read speeds? if its a loading issue, it means the hard drive is the bottleneck most of the time. :(
