Just got my m14x and am delighted.
However the left click button is not even. It is sloping ever so slighty towards the middle and is softer to press than the right click button.
Are yours like this???? or should I contact dell???
-
Both of mine seem slope towards the track pad, it doesnt bother me, i usally use my mouse. they are reponsive though and work perfeclty.
-
call dell get it replaced asap, mine did the same thing and the button popped off.
-
I will call dell in the morning as its a business laptop and all the paperwork is in the office.
Will they come out to fix it or will I need to send it off? -
Ive tried to pull the them off myself and they wont budge, i dont think ill get replacment.
-
They'll go to you.
-
its slopes in towards the top right of the button towards the track pad and where it meets the right click button.
Will dell come out to fix this? -
They will come out and do it for you I would watch the guy like a hawk. I just watched the guy that was sent to replace my LCD screen break the white tab that holds the optical drive cable in place. He tried to tell me it wasn't there to begin with, but he did not see me watching him do it. Now I have to return the whole damn thing to dell because the optical drive is not detected by windows. They will send me a new one in 2 weeks.

If the track pad is defective they have to replace it. Both the left and right mouse button should be level with the track pad, if it's not call dell.
-
Spoke to dell they said they will replace the track pad and buttons.
Now just waiting for the engineer to call. Hopefully he/she wont take long.
Other than that one little issue I love the system

Dell came today to my work at 11 and replaced the tackpad unit. I am delighed with their service, and how quickly the minor problem was sorted.
