I installed the driver from Intel's site (ver. 15.22.1.64.2361). It does not drop to 40Hz when the plug is pulled. It appears to work well!

I'm having the same issue. I downloaded the driver and it still lags/low fps drop in-game for any game I'm playing.

Here's the other concern. When I have my laptop plugged in everything is fine, but when I leave it on the battery and alt+tab to change the refresh rate from what you guys are saying from 40 to 60 it's staying at 60mhz. There is no option for me to change it at all? Maybe my m14x doesn't have the ability to change to 40mhz? I have the standard out of the box no upgrade m14x

    Thanks,
    Chris

Install the drivers from intel, not from dell. (I don't mean to mislead) I installed the same drivers as lucretius did. I never experienced the 40hz drop anymore.

Sorry to revieve an old thread but did anyone have an issue with not being able to install Intels drivers from Intel?

I keep getting told my computer does not meet the requirements to install these drivers.

I am still getting pushed to 40Hz on bat and dont know what to do next.

    Thanks
