Well, after 2 weeks with my alienware m14x I am pretty happy. The only problem is the the computer seems to be a dust magnet. also, the left palm rest tends to get oily and dirty after gaming. Which cleaning sprays or whatever will do the trick?
    Thanks

Regarding the left palm rest, I keep a micro cloth there at all times, it acts as a comfy spot for your palm as well as a protector too WIN+WIN :)

i use regular old Windex on the whole thing about once a week. keyboard, palmrest, screen, etc..

its got properties that are good for removing oil build up with out risk of any bleaching effect that some cleaners/degreasers may have.

did the same thing with my M11x every week and i was always complemented on how clean it was by my fellow local Alienware owners. :)

also, i use regular white Bounty papertowles to clean with (i have found the ones with colored prints can bleed the color onto what your are cleaning ) . i started out using microfiber but the rubberized coating seemed to pull the fibers out of the cloth and then i had to use somthing to wipe the fibers off. anoying... and i felt that regular cloth/towles might be too abrasive for the rubbercoating over time.

I usually use a normal cloth to wipe the whole alienware m11x system once in a week or so. then i blow the fan area with blower. It works nicely and perfectly. Good luck!

i basically use a damp microfiber cloth to clean the palm rest and oily parts of the laptop, Other than that i just use a dry microfiber cloth after.

Get the yellow micro fiber car wash clothes from Costco and I use rubbing alcohol from Walmart and an old Windex spray bottle. Cleans and kills germs.
