    Hi all

Basically I recently wiped my M14x as I'm getting a new system and I'm going to pass this onto my girlfriend for Christmas as she is wanting a laptop as she has always liked useing mine even though she doesn't game ect.

Anyway...I'm currently in the process of installing the drivers ect and when I download the Command Centre of the Dell website I think it's giving me a older version or something. It has the face recognition on it and is different to the previous version I had when the laptop came. Also it seems to not function correctly with this laptop as I can't change the light effects or the mousepad options. Rather frustrating. I've reinstalled 3 times ect but keep getting the same.

Anyone know where I can get the original M14x command centre from? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. Will the command centre enable me to start useing the sound buttons ect at the top of the keyboard, the ones you use with the function key??? As they currently don't work at all and thought maybe it's something to do with command centre. I'm not the best with computers/laptops.

I think you download the M11x/M15x/M17x's command centre, you can use it but I cant tell what happen if something goes wrong, perhaps keyboard AlienFX corrupt I guess. For some reason Dell change their navigation interface and may have been mess up the M14x's drivers so I cant find it from Dell at all, however luckily I used to upload one to MediaFire for cloud storage. you can follow this link to download the command centre: Alienware M14x Command Centre

Sorry about that, because for some reason Google Chrome 16 Beta seem to have those BB code mess up, I have fixed the link, however you can also access my MediaFire's folder of useful M14x Drivers/Goodies, link in my sig.

Thanks for the help. I gave you a plus rep as the command centre is the one I wanted/needed!

While I'm here I don't suppose anyone knows how to get the function keys working? What driver it may be?

When I used them before it used to come up on the screen telling me what brightness/volume ect ect (Like when you use volume on a tele) I was on but not it doesn't and they don't work at all bar the brightness ones. I don't know how to fix and had little luck useing google trying to find a answer.

I think the function key need the OSD (On-Screen Display) application, however I'm not sure if I have one uploaded or not, I'll check, and if upload one if I havent do so.

EDIT: I didnt upload it, however I have just finish upload one to MediaFire, check again you will see it there. Hope it would fix the problem.

Sorry for the late reply. The OSD one worked brilliantly and it also seemed to fix the function keys for me...not sure if it was supposed to or not but the function keys are fully working aswel as the screen volume/brightness ect so thanks a lot for that.
