Okay so I haven't OC'd my GT555M at all and am playing Assassin's Creed: Revelations on max settings and x4 AA and my GPU reaches temps of 75 degrees C..So I'm kinda worried since these temps seem pretty high..I may not be able to OC at all..I have a fan pointed straight at me and my lappy and it's placed on a flat table almost in direct line with the full sized electric fan..I'm running BIOS A05 and I'm not sure if the "decrease in fan noise" fix is the culprit for such high temps..Can this cause damage over time? What do you guys recommend I do? Can I leave it just the way it is? Can I still OC?? Thanks!!

Averaging 80 and hitting 81 once in a while..Is this normal?? How am I supposed to OC when I'm hitting these temps at stock?? :|

80C? Whoa that is not normal, because my average temp was between 70-75C, you might want to clean the air ventilation of the laptop or have something lift the laptop for better air venting.

Laptop is fairly new so I don't think there's any dirt or dust yet..Don't know what I should do or what's causing the increased temps..My best guess is the A05 BIOS isn't maximizing fan usage..now reaching around 83 with OC..

Blow the dust out anyway, also in the bios disable turbo boost, and it always helps if the back of the laptop is elevated a little, then check temps again

even with my overclock after i cleaned out the dust i max at 72, if nothing helps you may need a repaste

also give the a03 bios a run, it runs louder but cooler

GPU temps are at 85 with a maximum of 86..I swear the laptop doesn't physically feel hot at all..Considering a repaste though I'm not sure how difficult it'll be to access the GPU, farthest I've gone is the HDD/RAM slots..Will downgrading to A03 have any cons? Won't I have the "won't be able to game on battery" issue? And I don't know if it's connected but I'm stable at SATA 6GB/s speeds and I'm afraid that if I downgrade to A03 I might go down to SATA 3GB/s speeds like others say..
