I currently have the m11x r3 has the ulv i7-2617m cpu w/ the intel hd 3000, the catch is that the cpu is only the ulv version of it making the intel hd 3000 weaker/slower because of slower clock mhz.

Now the experts and benchmarkers agree that the intel hd 3000 clocked at 600mhz/1200-1300mhz ( not ulv intel hd 3000 bec only 350mhz) mainsteam sandybridge dualcore/quadcore cpu is on par with the graphics performance of a Geforce 310m.

I'm asking m14x users or m17x R3 users because they are obviously gamers and their systems runs the optimus meaning they can run any application or games with the intel hd 3000 or dedicated gpu.

Can any of the m14x users that has some free time to test CS:Source, HL2, F.E.A.R (1st one) or World of Warcraft using the Intel Hd 3000 at native res only and see whether it is really comparable to a Geforce 310m. Any of the above games will be fine if that is ok with you cool people. :)

I'm falling asleep so I can't do any tests but I can for sure tell you this...

by mistake one day, I ran COD: MW2 off of the Intel HD with everything at Medium, AA off, 1366X768 rez, and I was averaging around 25 FPS.

Pretty sick processor if you ask me.....

CS: Source beta runs very well on my M14x, I don't know what figures you want but it runs very very very well. Max settings 900p

These ran fine on my 3 yr old acer which had integrated graphics (hl2 and fear at least, was never into WoW), so i'm sure the m14x will run them with ease...i don't have any installed yet so i couldn't tell you definitively :(
