No the best thing to happen would be a full size MXM-B slot with upgradable card and not having an internal optical bay ;)

:eek2: maybe a retina display too?

Haha just kidding.. I'd LOVE a discrete upgradable card, I can't believe the 15x is long gone *sigh...

P.S. apparently there's one thing in common, no one wants an optical drive anymore! You should post that on ideastorm :p

Oh I forgot stable sata 3 for the HDDs. While the above is great I kinda wish I had sata 3 for my msata as I do on my 750GB data drive.

Too bad it seems a tad too late for no optical drive in the R3. Based off the pictures, it looks even thicker than the R1/R2.

I still think Alienware should just do a complete redesign of all its notebooks, possibly even under a new line name (no more mYx, new design, new sizes [?], ect)

Thick laptops are the beauty of alienware/high end laptops. Allows for better cooling and more powerful hardware. As for hardware for the R3, ideas for that are pointless at this point as they probably already have their set hardware for the r3....now the r4 on the other hand....

Go play with the touchscreen laptops at the Microsoft Store.

I find that they are pretty much useless.

Fan noise was really the main killing point for me with the R2. A less reflective screen would be a nice bonus as well, but give me a spec bumped R2 with a cooling system as quiet as the ASUS G46 and I'll ditch this Apple in a heartbeat.

I'd take that as a good indication that either:
A: The cooling is 10X better and won't overheat.
B: They put in an MXM B 3.0 Slot.

Either of these outcomes are good.

Its easy: look at g46 separate fans and noise levels. Give us that please!
