    Hi guys,

I just bought the M14x and I just discovered one slight problem. I found out that the screen is not fully utilized. Like there is a 2mm gap at the top which is all black out.

Is there any way to re-calibrate the screen position or stretch the screen size to avoid the black bars ?

    Thanks guys !!

Stop the process toaster.exe in task manager.

Hit Ctrl+Shift+Esc and click the processes tab, click on name to sort by name, go down to T and you should see toaster.exe. Right click it and choose end process tree. Theres a more in depth guide on how to turn it off permanently on these forums somewhere...

This is caused by a process called toaster.exe. This process belongs to Dell DataSafe Local Backup. One simple way is to uninstall this software. But it seems that this software is integrated into Dell factory image restore, I am not sure it is safe to uninstall. I checked the startup service shown in the msconfig, and found a familiar name, which is SoftThinks Agent Service.SoftThinks is the software vendor who provides this problematic software. So here is the way to get rid of the process toaster.exe:

    Open control panel
Double click on the ‘Administrative Tools’
    Double clikc on the ‘Services’
Scroll down and find the ‘SoftThinks Agent Service’, change the startup type to ‘Disabled’, and then click ‘OK’.
Restart your computer, problem solved .

Nah, I told you I dont have this toaster.exe install/running, so this is maybe the reason why I never had the OP's problem.

Ah! Dell DataSafe Local Backup, that's why, because I did a clean install, that why I dont have this toaster.exe installed/running. Thanks for the detail btw, it would save me lots of time. +rep :)
