So the other day I open my m14x and the hinge somehow was stuck in place and so when i opened it the hinge cracked off the back cover of the laptop. Since it didnt come cleanly off, im gonna need a whole new back cover. There's ones on ebay with hinges attached already to replace my broken one however its an R1047-R1050 back cover and my m14x is a R2 so idk if the R1 version back cover would fit properly. Does anyone know a good way to replace this? Il need to replace the backcover, hinges and hinge cover, my lcd is not affected i can simply take it out of my faulty back cover and put it in the new one. Any suggestions? Or does anyone know of any cheap sites or links where i could get the back cover, hinges, and hinge cover all together or very cheap separately? And if the old R1 model hinges and etc would work for the R2 version? Thanks.

Hi
The back cover of the M14x r1 will not fit the m14x r2.
Here's an article with that will guide you on how to remove the LCD panel -
Thank you, if I were to get those parts the back cover, hinges, and hinge cover from Dell, is it possible? And how much would it cost?
