I purchased the m11x a year ago and I love my machine. Lately I've been thinking about streaming my games live, I even tried with my M11x, but the cpu isnt nearly powerfull enough. Not only does my games fps drop in half but the stream is terrible too. My isp speed isnt the problem, I've got 5mbs upload.

How do you guys think the m14x would compare? Is the cpu strong enough to support a live stream for LoL and SC2? Thanks in advance!

The base CPU on the M14x is stronger than the previous generation i7 Extreme processors. So yeah, it's gonna blow away League of Legends. ;) The M14x is more GPU limited..GT555M is on the low end side of gaming graphics, but good enough to run most games at around 40fps on high settings.

My m11x with a i7 does 1m pi in about 25 seconds with the supercharger app running. My m14x does it in 14 so yea I'm sure it would be ok.

Should I choose an i5 or an i7. Would there even be any difference for streaming?

    O_O

    Here are some facts....

    Intel® Core? i7-940XM Processor Extreme Edition (8M Cache, 2.13 GHz)with SPEC Code(s)SLBSC <--i7-940XM (Previous Gen) (Overclockable)

    Intel® Core? i7-2630QM Processor (6M Cache, 2.00 GHz)with SPEC Code(s)SR02Y <-- i7-2630QM (base in M14x)

How is the CPU on the M14x better than the Extreme?!?!?

    Check facts please :)
