I am asking for opinions on this trade:
My M14x specs (well the more notable ones) are:

4GB RAM (Upgradeable to 8/16)
80GB Intel X-25 SSD
320GB Western Digital 7200RPM in Optical Bay (with HD Caddy from US)
Stock Internal Optical Drive on Side
Nvidia GT555M 1.5GB Graphics Card
1600x900 Resolution Option (not the lower resolution)
Stealth Black Exterior
Bluetooth Installed
Have all boxes, sleeve, manuals, dvds etc.
9 Months Warranty
For an M11x R3 with the following Specs:
Intel Core i7-2617M 1.5GHz2.6GHzT
11.6in HD (720p/1366x768)/WLED screen
6GB DDR3 RAM at 1333MHz
750GB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s hard drive
Nvidia GF GT540 w/2.0GB VRAM
Internal High-Definition Surround sound
Internal Bluetooth 3.0
With External Optical Drive
10-11 Months warranty
The question is, are we doing a fair trade? Who would be losing/gaining more?
I require portability with a little bit of gaming, I dont know for the M11x owner, but I would like to know if I offered a fair deal by giving my M14x for his R3? I am not taking any extra cash; it is a swap for swap. Any serious responses would help and would be MUCH appreciated!

I owned a m11x R2 before selling and getting my m14x and to be honest I think you're getting the raw end of the deal. I liked my m11x a lot but TBH I think the only reason I got it was because a m15x was too big and there was nothing in between. I found my m11x played everything fine especially since it was only 12" big but BFBC2 was horrible on it, the screen is just too small IMO. Your's also has a SSD and 2nd HD. Like I said I don't think you're getting totally screwed but IMO he is making out better.

There's probably a reason why he wants to trade, dollar for dollar, the m14x is a better value and offers better performance. Even if you value portability, buy a netbook for a few hundred and take that around, the m11x r3's sort of rip offs compared to the m14x, with an exception of the m11x r3 core i3 model for 700. The core i7 in that m11x is a dual core and probably an ultra low voltage version as well. You'll be severely downgrading with the upside of a smaller and lighter computer, it's up to you, but I wouldn't even trade my m14x for a macbook pro 15 brand new.
