    M14x has 4 Memory Slot?

    Hi everyone, as subject question, everytime I use CPU-Z/Speccy/PCMark, they all displaying that my M14x has 2 used slot and 2 free slot, so is it true that it has 4 slot?

    Because I remember that last time I open the chassis, I only seen two slot, or is it because I dont take a closer look of it?

    It only has 2 memory slots. Not sure why programs would report 4 slots.

    It's two slots. The reason it's showing memory in banks 1 and 3 is because it's running in dual channel. Like on a desktop motherboard, if you have two memory chips, and you want to run them in dual channel, for most motherboards, you'd plug them in slots 1 and 3. I guess it assumes you have 4 slots because the m14x slots are dual channel (slots 1 and 3). That's my take on it at least.

    Most laptops smaller than 16-17" have 2 slots
