prolly not sooner than ivy bridge/new series gpus come out, there would be just no point for that.

About a year or more. Since its based around the fact that the gpu is integrated on the motherboard, we probably wont see an update till thr nvidia 600 series. We may see a cpu update with ivy bridge, but not gpu

Doubt it on the cpu update, the info I've seen is that the ivy bridge requires a different chipset. I'm gonna say probably spring to summer of 2012 unless something out of the ordinary happens like a flaw is discovered or sales tank.

nVidia isn't launching until next year. AMD *might* before the year is out, but we don't know for sure yet, only a few hints from their finance areas.

Different chipset? I thought that Ivy Bridge CPUs were backwards compatible with the Sandy Bridge MoBos.

Some points have hinted towards backwards compatibility, but its a long shot. We can only hope ;P

I love the M14x and wouldn't want many changes except a user upgradable GPU like the M18x. And maybe some thunderbolt...
