It does fix the fan speed issue, but it also has created a new issue. Overheating. In case you haven't noticed, Jet Engine mode is gone now, which i liked because it kept me cool.
If you change things in the power management just right, it works like a charm and you won't ever hear the fans while doing ordinary tasks, and then you can switch back to performance for gaming. OR you can make your on fan settings with Hwinfo. I've been posting this everywhere but no one seems to listen![]()

What temps are you reaching with the A05 Bios and what were you getting with your previous Bios? -
Well since no one can understand the fact that a you-tube video's audio so in no way accurate, I'll sum up the loudness of an m14x's fans with good old fashioned words.
YES, it is loud for a laptop,
NO, it will not, nor ever cause you any kind of public/private distractions or issues, (I used mine in class all the time)
The fact of the matter is, even at full speed while I'm sitting with my ears no more than 3 feet from it. My fridge, all the way across the room is actually making more noise. You should never ever not buy this laptop just because people say it's loud. I have had my m14 for around a year now and it's the best computer I have ever laid hands on, desktop or laptop. P.S mines overclocked so the fan runs allot more than most people. It has not once distracted me from anything and I have NEVER had anyone say anything about it. Don't look for me around this site I just made an account solely because I'm tired of people whining about a background noise that no one but them ever notices. As such ima never post here again. I bid you all a Hello, and a hasty Goodbye, forever.
