    Hi there,

I have had my m14xr2 laptop for about 3 years now, and I am starting to have some performance issues. This all started about a week ago when my laptop was having battery issues where it was plugged in but not charging. I tried taking the battery out and holding down the power button for 30 seconds to power drain. It did not work, but I later restarted my laptop and it started charging properly. This did not last long as it still says plugged in but not charging. The issue is that now when I am playing a game for example, I've started to notice performance issues. It feels like it is lagging for a bit and by latency goes up, and then it goes back to normal and repeats.

Would this be related to my battery issues that I am having right now? Would I need to replace my battery because I know they don't last forever.

    Thank you for any help.

Have you checked the system's temperatures?
