    Need Help On Alienware M14

    Hello.

    So here is the problem :

    Everytime i plug-in the battery charger of the laptop, the screen go black for like 3 second and then it becomes normal, i want to know if there is anyway to stop that, its really anoying i have died a lot of times on league of legend lol.

    Do you have the screen set to change to 40Hz when on battery in the Intel graphics control panel settings?

    no i have it on 60Hz do i change it to 40Hz ?

    Nah, I thought that if it is changing from 60Hz to 40Hz when you unplug that is when the screen would turn black.

    yes but, when is charging its on 60Hz and when its not charging at 40Hz

    FIXED I CHANGED IT TO 60Hz

    It was actually a big problem when the M14x first came out. How long have you had your machine OP?

    I noticed this after updating the Intel gfx drivers, seems it has changed what happens when on battery

    I am having the same problem, on battery the refresh rate goes to 40mhz even after i set it to 60 mhz, how do i keep it 60mhz permanently

    Did you check power options in the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator control panel?
