good stuff, good price, you can be very happy with it. I don't own one yet, but had a couple of close looks at them. They are very reasonably sized, should be no problem to carry.

    Just upgrade your ram manually

i took advantage of the 20% off too. mine came out to $1200 and it has the same specs except mine has 8gig memory, killer 3x3 wireless card, and soundblaster. can't say how heavy mine is since i haven't received it yet. i was thinking about getting the basic model at first since it would be under $1k, but i figured after parts and time, it would come out to about the same.

Screen's 1600x900 actually. Nice price, be happy with it!

Bringing the laptop around may be a pain, though.
Unless if your laptop's going to be in a backpack, I'd suggest you get a VERY comfortable laptop carrying bag. After lugging my M14x around a trip to the US, I know it can get pretty uncomfortable after a while.

Thank you for the advice! I just recently purchased a Swissgear backpack from Staples when it was on sale for 50% off. Its a very comfortable and durable backpack, but it weights a lot just by itself. Hopefully it can take on my M14X!

At first I thought you were talking about the Backpack deal lol. But yeah I guess its not a bad deal to have a 14x out the door for 1060

Well, I am working in Singapore where I buy my m14x from Malaysia (it's cheaper after conversion). From Malaysia ringgit to USD, it's around USD 1067.

Pretty much the same except the RAM and HDD, and well 64bit Windows? o.o
    oh and a, 1.5GB GPU. 3.0 isn't necessary anyway. :D
