Hey all, I just purchased this lovely computer only to find almost every single one of the games I want to play crash constantly, I've made sure the games pull from the video card rather than the processor, yet they still continue to crash, and it's the driver that crashes, it is now referring me to the Nvidia website with error code 8, help.

Ummmm, why not upgrade to a newer driver?

Try update to the newer version, for me I use 275.33, never had any problem so far.

Wait...
Is this right? There was a bios upgrade to fix the fan issue? -

-
Good to hear, but I was almost 100% decided on the M17x.
Now I'm back to the drawing board between the 2... -
How do I install the 275.33? I download the .inf and still getting missing files errors when running setup.
-
Sorry to derail your question here, but do you guys think Dell will update this themselves before shipping out new units?
Basically, if I were to order an M14x today would the bios be updated before shipping or would I still have to manually do this? -
Place that .inf file in the nVidia Setup folder, but before you do that I'd suggest you run the setup again and let it fail then copy the inf file to this path (C is your Windows Drive): C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\275.33\Vista 64-bit\International\Display.Driver
Then run the setup again, this time it will work. Hope this help. -
This is what I call a DETAILED step by step!!!!!!
Thank you!!!!
