I got it done, reapplied the paste. It is running around 30c cooler than it was. The paste job they did at the factory was the worst I have ever seen. they put on about 10x more than needed. It was all over the motherboard all around the chips and hard as a rock.

Hi all, I just joined to here. I got an Alienware 14 (P39G) with bad motherboard. As I connect the charger the motherboard shorts out it...I removed everything from the board but it still has short circuit. It could be a common problem as I found some bad motherboard on ebay with same fault. Anybody has an experience with these fault? It can be caused a damaged DC jack? I found some bad capacitors on the board but I'm not sure if that's the only problem... :(
