Excuse me but I have never done overclocking, and I understand little.

These are the parameters of my bios.

    The CPU is 2720QM I7

I tried to put the bus clock to 101 or 102, but when I check with CPU-Z is always 99.7 MHz Bus Speed.

Obviously I'm wrong I am something, but what?

    Can you help me?

    thanks

    Hi

Why do you want to OC? Because more clock mean more heat, and the original clock speed already produce a near fatal temp, so I dont think it is a good idea to OC it.

I wanted to try to raise the bus just to see how he behaved and if the temperature remains acceptable. :)

better off OCing your GT555m instead of the processor.

    this.

gt555m overclocks well with stable temps.

I agree! No need to overclock the CPU due to the very high-temps and small gains

Yeah, due to the reports of high temp on the Sandy Bridge CPU, I think it is better to OC the GPU rather than the CPU, because OC CPU usually doesnt make any different on the Game's graphic though, beside for GT555M OC most of us here are having an acceptable temp, like mine I got around 65C - 75C while in game (BFBC2 - Max setting except for shadow) with the clock of 701/1402/1080.

Also, make sure your GT555m rather than your CPU is handling physics calculations.

    701 Core Clock ( why, 701 instead of 700)
    1402 Shader Clock
    1080 Memory Clock

    right?

    ciao

Yep, and I remember that I used to read a post about the OC whose clock speed is higher than mine and still got quite an acceptable temp, but I cant remember who is that person.

The reason behind 701 is that I cannot slide it to 700, it only goes with either 698 or 701, that is why I use the 701. weird ey,

    Can I? Let me try.

EDIT: AH! Stupid me, I never know that lol, thanks! But I'd just go with the current setting I had, since it wont be much diff just 1-2 Kilobytes. But thanks for the idea, I thought that box is just a picture box to show me the number when I slide the slider.
