    Random clicking sound coming from computer

    So, my m14x is about 5 months old now and i am hearing random clicking noises i don't know where its coming from but im scared that it might possibly be my hard drive failing....which is the last thing i want to think about cuz im out of the country for school. The sound is made randomly, even when the computer is on mute. (im not referring to three clicks that the fan makes before it turns on- my computer used to do that but recently stopped). Advice please!!!

    well if you think your HD is failing, I'd suggest grabbing an external Hard Drive and backing up your data before its to late and you lose everything. Could also be an optical drive who knows.

    Another suggestion if you think its your HDD, take it out and put it in an enclosure or as a secondary drive in another system to backup data. That way Windows isn't causing any unnecessary drive activity, further killing it.

    UPDATE: The sound gets louder and more frequent when i use the keyboard to type. What could this possibly indicate? My computer just made the three clicking sound before the fan turned on (looks like thats still happening!)
