When you are directly connected to the adapter. The Intel graphics settings shows the refresh rate at 60Hz.

When you disconnect the power cord, it automatically drops the refresh rate to 40Hz and you have to enable it to display again at 60Hz manually.

The change is not permanent so every time you switch from powercord to battery you are going to have to go into the Intel graphics settings and switch it back to 60Hz.

Ok, the 40Hz is really noticeable from 60Hz.

I've googled solution for this but all i found were similar questions with no solution.

My manual AMD switching graphics also does this. Haven't seen a fix for it.

Anyone found a way to fix this?

It always switches to 40hz, no matter how many times I change it.

    Really annoying.

I don't know if there's a config file or a .ini file that could be modified to fix this issue...

Use Intel's latest drivers from their site. It should keep it at 60hz.

Someone posted that the intel driver (from their website) 2361 resolves this.
