Dell support may help you. A key should last longer than that.

Otherwise I believe you should be able to find a new keyboard for 30-40$.

But if you call support about this you leave a testament to them that they have to produce things that 'works' for the rest of us. It should be cheaper to make it right the first time around.

When I had an issue with my m11x keyboard, alienware sent me a new one next day.Isn't the m14 under warranty?Dell should help you,I would call support, that's not good for a fairly rugged gaming keyboard to break so soon.

Well, its just one key. Not sure if they would replace it at all. However, I did saw a UK M14x keyboard. The UK layout is different from what I have, but I think I may be able to salvage that one key from that.

Dell is well known for wacky support practices, but right now on the xps forum there's a guy who had his whole board replaced for 1 key.Just saying,It doesn't hurt to make a call.Good luck either way.

It does seems a little ridiculous to replace the whole keyboard for just one key in my opinion but I think I may give it a try if I'm unable to find a replacement key.

Just trying to save you some time and money, there are a few websites for new laptop keys like laptop keys.com,but at around 5 bucks a key plus ship.Id rather call support and get a new one for free.My opinion. But whatevers easier Im just trying to help.

I'm still considering whether to call support - Still seems like a really minor issue. So for now I'm still searching for a US M14x keyboard.

If you still under the warranty then call Dell support for the replacement, they will definitely do it for free since that what a warranty is.

You can also find it on eBay as well, however since the laptop is a still new, sometime it can hard to find the specific region keyboard (If you live outside US).
