Hi, I know you'll tell me I'm not on the good forum but in fact I am, I ordered my M14x via HIDevolution with a Vertex 2 SSD, the 1st one was defective, so they replaced it (they didn't sent me the laptop because they test it before shipping) but the 2nd was defective too, they say that all Vertex 2 have issue with Alienware laptop so they ask me to choose another one, I have the choice between m300, m4 and intel 510 series.
If I'm right they are all SATA III, will they work in SATA III?
Since I already paid 180$ for Vertex 2 120GB, I just have to pay the difference, so +25$ for the m300 120GB, +85$ for the m4 and +190$ for intel.
What do you think? Please give me a fast reply. Thanks in advance!

Yeah Crucial M4 and the intel 510 series are the second best in performance under the Vertex OCZ ssd's. The M4 is faster than the 510 sereis, and the 510 is better when it comes to compatibility. Both are good choices, and will save you more battery life than the vertex. Vertex actually steal battery life since they are the most powerful SSD on the market. SSD's are supposed to save battery life, not take it.

I believe that the Crucial C300(m300?) with the latest firmware 007 should be fine.
There is an LPM fix on the forums:
