When I am on Carrick Station, the M14x does fine in SWTOR. However, when I am in pvp, I get massive lag spikes where my frame rates drop from 30-40 fps down to about 5-10 fps.

    Anyone know why?

did you whitelist the .exe to make sure that TOR is running on the gt555m and not the igpu? The game is coded really crappily, and I end up with random slowdowns occasionally as well. :( Updating your drivers might help out as well.

I just updated my HD 3000 driver and my Nvidia driver to 296.10.

did you try whitelisting both the game .exe and the launcher .exe to see if that helps? If you don't know how to whitelist, check out the guide in my sig. :)
