Hi all,
I am a new proud owner of an Alienware M14x and I would like to ask your opinion on those two hard drives. I need capacity greater than 280GB and both drives are fitting my needs. SSD is not an option at the moment because of the cost. My Alienware came with the WD 750GB Scorpio Black but I also own a brand new one Seagate Momentus XT 500GB (I had it in my old XPS and it just got replaced cause it failed).
Which one is the best performing drive to use with my M14x?
Thanks in advance!

As I have experience with both drives, the Seagate Momentus is definately superior as far as performance. My opinion.

Remove optical drive and place the 750GB in there for data. Buy SSD for OS.

I installed the refurbished Seagate in the end. They said that they would send me a new one, but the disk writes on it: Official repaired.
