I did try searching this on here and Google before posting but every result throws up stuttering in games, which isn't the problem.

Every time I hook my M14x to an external 1080p display and watch a film I get this really slight stuttering. I can't quite place why it's happening.

The processor (2630) should have no problems on that front.

It's connected through HDMI so the GT55M is definitely being used.

I've tried multiple different players, the problem persists.

I did a full restore a few weeks ago due to an unrelated issue but I still get the issue.

Latest beta drivers for GT555M - but it's occurred on all.

Anyone get any suggestions? Had this problem before? Plays absolutely fine on the normal display - even lowering the display on the external to match the M14x doesn't solve the issue.
