Hey I just received my Alienware 14 last week and I really am enjoying it. However I have run into an odd problem that occurs when my 14 is unplugged (on battery power). The internet speeds both download and upload drop to a crawl, under 2 mbps and under 1 mbps respectively (using speedtest.net). However when I plug the 14 in the speeds rocket up to 22 mbps and 9.5 mbps! Is this normal? Is something down clocking the speeds in the wireless card when it is unplugged? Thanks for any help.

I think that is normal, you're using power saver mode right? Just go under power options, choose whatever power setting you're using, click advanced power settings, and change the wireless adapter settings to max performance.

Try the latest drivers from the manufacturer's site :)
