This is a R1 correct? (555 GT). Have you checked whether in the Nvidia control panel is the graphics adapter selected as automatic or High performance GPU?

Also do you have any virus scanner in the background? or anything in the background?

Have you tried "Render frames ahead" to 0 and use "Optimise for single display mode".

Try to turn off google before starting up D3 (which honestly doesnt matter). If that doesnt work.

Check out your power settings , is it on high performance? Is your laptop plugged into the power adapter?

It might be a cpu/gpu repasting issue or dusts in fan.!
    Tried to check out those?

Most probably your laptop is needing a repaste.!

The poor performance is OBVIOUSLY due to the excess heat... Before you get the re-pasting done... Go to the nearest store and buy Duster Cans and flush all the dust you can from the fans. Because from what I can tell from these temps, they are clearly not working. I would also suggest purchasing a cooling station, there are multiple suggestions on those all over the forum.

    Hope that helps! :D

Well, I am using a cooling station and I cleaned my fans recently, so it is probably the paste

If possible try disable the Turbo Boost, I know it is the CPU side but since the M14x's GPU share the same heat pipe with the CPU, so the temp will be contributed, and disabling the Turbo Boost will also reduce the CPU heat which will also help keeping the pressure on the Heat pipe low as well. You can find the Turbo Boost in the BIOS (F8 when you start the PC).
