Tried a lot of laptops lately from G55 to MSI GE60 to Sony Vaio S13 and so far the M14x R2 does not disappoint in the sound/speaker quality. At 20-25% volume, it is already loud and even if you go higher, it does not distort and the quality of the sound is perfect for a size of this laptop. The sound is not too tiny and high on treble, but instead it has a nice balance of hum and thump mini bass into it and has good balance of treble and some lower frequency.

Klipsch Speakers and Sound Blaster Recon3Di THX Trustudio PRO Rules :D
