    Hi all,

I have an M14x R2 with a 3610QM CPU and for some reason the clock speeds always jump around. Right now the PC is virtually idle and according to Real Temp, the clock speed is jumping everywhere from 2000Mhz to 3200Mhz. This is causing higher than normal temps thus making the fan quite loud even on idle.

    What could be causing this?

    Thanks

There could be something in the background causing it. Does it happen on safe mode as well?

I tried checking in safe mode but I can't due to safe mode not being able to load drivers. Is there any other way to check temps and clock speeds in safe mode other than programs such as Real Temp?
